If you are looking for a refrigerant log faq, start here for the main questions technicians ask most often. Each section points to a fuller guide on guides, the refrigerant log topic, and related tools.
Logging and records
Whether you have to log refrigerant usage depends on the rule that applies to the equipment and the refrigerant involved. See the detailed guide and the current source text before you decide what records to keep. You can also start from the home page or the refrigerant log guide.
Leak rate
Leak rate is calculated from the refrigerant added, the time period, and the system charge details used by the rule or calculator. For the exact method, use the guide and the tools page, then confirm the result against the current rule text.
PT charts and A2L
A2L is a refrigerant safety classification, and it is not the same thing as a specific refrigerant name. PT chart values still need to match the exact refrigerant and the manufacturer source, so check the guide before you use them. See the guides page for the source links.
The app
The HVAC Refrigerant Log waitlist page does not require an app account to read. If you want updates, use Get the app to join the waitlist and we will share launch details there.
